Food Grade Logistics Shippers
RCR Hempstead Logistic Park is gaining attention from food grade logistics shippers. Food grade white oil is currently coming into the transload service area of the park and a liquid sugar company is expected to start shipping in late Q3.
Kosher Certification
The park has received its kosher certification which will allow park services to expand on food ingredients which can ship into or out of the park.

We are excited to share Rio Grande Pacific Corp. (RGPC) Industrial Rail Services – Ft. Worth Texas – has been awarded the contract for rail park operations for both RCR Hempstead and RCR Taylor rail parks effective October 1, 2021.

We are pleased to announce RCR Hempstead Logistics Park, along with its onsite rail service partner, is now equipped and ready to handle your industrial transload service needs.
Rail transloading service is the transfer of goods from one transportation mode to another while in transit to its final destination. It involves shipping, handling and delivery of goods or commodities to multiple destinations using a different mode of transportation than used at the original shipping point of origin.
For example, in-bound goods arriving from a port of call are loaded onto a truck/train and transported to a rail park such as RCR Hempstead Logistics Park, then off-loaded again to another truck or trailer for delivery to its final out-bound destination.
Since rail transloading services can help ease the flow of containers in and out of ports, it is most commonly used for goods that are shipped internationally.
Safety is paramount in the day-to-day operations within a rail-served park. Rail transloading facilities such as RCR Hempstead Logistics Park emphasize safety as a way to minimize risks and prevent transportation delays that would otherwise negatively impact the efficiency of park operations.

Transload services offered at RCR Hempstead Logistics Park are now underway. Activity at the park is increasing daily since opening on January 31, 2020.
RCR Hempstead Logistics Park opens for business on January 31, 2020 and will receive main train line service from Union Pacific (www.up.com).
The park’s initial service offering to their customers will include switching and rail transloading services.
Meanwhile, leadership at RCR Rail Co., the company that owns the park, is currently working with a number of manifest users that need a location in the central southeast Texas area.
